The session highlighted the role of the COMPASSION instrument as a governance and implementation framework to guide institutions in delivering community initiatives that are systematic, accountable, and aligned with national and institutional priorities.
Key areas of discussion included:
* Governance and strategic alignment of community engagement frameworks
* Integration of community engagement into academic programmes such as SULAM
* Sustainable operational models and responsible resource management
* Impact measurement and the use of data to inform decision-making
* Risk management, safety, and ethical considerations in community settings
